s4 shift *****?

So my s4 came with an aftermarket shift **** with a fake CF trim, and im slowly getting sick of it. i was gonna get a short shifter and another ****, but corksport ran out of short shifters so ill do that later. anybody know what cars share the same 12x1.5 thread pattern as the early s4s? or at least any aftermarket shift ***** that come this way? and if "universal" ***** will still work such as momo and razo and what not. ive searched, but im probably not searching with the right terms, all i find is lug nut thread patterns and complaints, but no list of options. anyone got some info?

^ No, it looks fugly in an FC IMO. And its not usable on a S4 shifter.

OP: I have never seen a list of ***** that work for a S4 either. You will just have to search around for ***** that you like and hope they come in the threadpitch you need.

You could use a stock S5 shifter as well, that will give you the 12 x 1.25 (I think) that is more common. Then you can use the RX8 **** if you want.

I just jammed my RX-8 **** on to my shifter and no chance its coming off. IMO rx-8 is great for stock or short shifters(ive used them on both) they look good and are cheap. Rx-8 **** Don't look fugly in anything IMHO!

S5 thread pitch is 10 x 1.25.
S4 is 12 x 1.50.

I bought a Voodoo **** (solid aluminum), and drilled and tapped it for S4 thread. Worked great!

I bought the specific drill bit and tap just for this purpose, and wouldn't ever need it again, so I sold it to someone else on an RX-7 forum for the exact same purpose.

I have never seen a list of S4 *****, one of the reasons I switched to an S5 was so I could use my knobmeister ****. If you really want one that fits (I don't like universal ones) you could get one custom-made, but they are pricey. I tried a quick google and found this guy, they run ~$80-100 and I'd make sure to let him know the thread pitch since S4 is different from most other Mazdas. http://www.lathewerks.com

Edit: Actually I have seen one **** that fits S4 shifters. http://www.knobmeister.com/page14.ph...=92&category=1 A wooden **** in an FC would look odd though.

it seems that most audi's and vw's have the same shift **** thread pattern, but there arent that many aftermarket shifters for them... im gonna see if my friend who works at a junkyard can find me an audi or vw shifter and see how that looks.

Hi Guys,

I have a Mazdatrix S4 Short Shift Kit and have spent a considerable amount of time looking for a M12xP1.5 shift **** that will fit the S4.

I have finally found a decent quality and decent looking shift **** that comes in a universal M12 pattern, as in it has a screw in adaptor for both M12xP1.25 and M12xP1.5.

It is the Moonface Racing (MFR) Aluminum Shift ****.

I just ordered mine from RHD Japan.

Most Audi's have the same 12x1.5 as the S4. I have a MazdaRacing short shifter which has the S4 thread pitch. I went through trying to find a **** for mine a couple years ago and ended up getting mine from RTM Racing for about $60 shipped... https://www.rtmracing.com/xcart/home.php?cat=446

I have a S4 shifter also I'm going to have to pay closer attention to Audi's and VW's when I go to the junkyard.

I have a Razo right now. You just have to use the right sized insert and it threads right on.
