S4 and s5 turbo wizzes, need help identifying whats missing!
Alright so i got an s4 turbo today im plannin to send to bnr, It was missing the mani and lines. So when i got home i dug through my mountain of parts i think i found MOST of the lines and the mani.
However after comparing them to my s5 turbo ect it seems that i am missing one?
Here is the s4 Mani

and that mani mates to This s4 Turbo

Now both Turbo have the Hard lines coming from the bottom right in this picture, however the s5 has an additional bend, where i think the s4 is missing a junction in the hardline???

And on this side of the Turbo you can see both s5 ON THE LEFT and S4 on the right....There is an empty flange on both turbo's and on of the hardlines seems to wrap around, Is this line supposed to come back to the turbo? Neither one of my turbo's had it....

Lastly! Where do i buy these banjo bolts! I wanna replace these crusty things...

Each turbo will/should have 4 lines total. Water supply & return, and oil supply and return. That thin metal line wrapping around the turbo is the water supply line. It connects to the LIM. As far as replacing a crusty banjo bolt... beats me. Perhaps current turbos still use similar bolt?
the extra line off the S5 turbo goes to the precontrol solenoid to hold the wastegate shut longer. the S5 turbo won't bolt to the S4 manifold.
the hard line your missing for both turbos is the oil feed line, you will need to find one before getting anywhere.
the banjos are rather specific, a wire wheel will clean them up. if you want new ones try the mazda dealer and hope they aren't NLA.

alright now im confused lol...karack whichextra line are you referring too?
The hardline that i was referring to was the big one with the Stainless steel braided section. If you look on the s5 turbo Theres an extra straight section that comes off of it...Compared to the s4 turbo where it just elbows off.
So on both turbo's im missing the line that brings the oil back to the turbo, the flange on top.

The large hard line with the steel braided section you're looking at is the oil drain line. It connects to the block. My S5 turbo doesn't have the straight hard line after the elbow, IIRC. As for the banjo bolt, if you have a spare oil cooler, check those banjo bolts. They are 16mm or 18mm depending on the year... might fit. If not, stealership or maybe Mazdatrix.

oh i see what your talking about now, lol thanks but that wasnt the one i was referring to. Im talking about the big Hard line to the right with the Stainless braieded line. It has an extra 3" pipe or so that bends 90 , and the s4 is just straight. Am i missing the 90?
