i just wanted to make sure....can the s5 turbo work on a s4 manifold, its for a s4 motor.

no, the S5 manifold is much shorter and has no angle at the mating flange like the S4 turbo, as well the S4 turbo has a completely different mating flange bolt pattern. you can swap either setup to either engine but you have to use the matching manifold for each series turbo.

Or custom build a manifold or somehow modify the mismatching one, the first of which many people do. But for mild to moderate mods it's easiest and usually cheapest to just use the matching manifold.

Few people build a custom manifold for the stock turbo. There's very little point.
