in what part?

s4 has two choices. manual and power steering. the ps effort is controlled by a little ecu, and a stepper motor on the pump.

s5 also has 2 choices. the upper models like the turbo and gxl have the same system as the s4's. the lower models, have a simpler, more conventional system, and a different ratio steering rack.

the two ps systems can be id'd by the following

s4/upper model s5s, have 2 lines off the top of the pump, and the rack says "FB78" on it

the base s5's have 1 line on the pump and an FC01 rack.
