S4-S5 Rear End.

I tried to find it .. .but I couldnt.
I have was told that an Turbo II S4 will work with a S5 Driveline.

IS this true?

IS there any TurboII S4-S5 combos that work?

Sorry for the basic question.

Also ...

How much HP can a stock s5 TurboII make? With upgraded injectors/Turbo ?
What Turbo works best for a stock turboII engine?

Any ideas would be great ... Im sure there is 10000 posts about this ...but I Cant find anything :-(

Search with a little broader context next time.
For question 1- I am almost sure that it will work, but wait for someone to chime in with a for sure answer before you go on my word about that one. For the HP question...... how much HP do you want to make? If you keep the stock turbo, and the ECU, go with bigger secondaries (720cc), a bigger fuel pump, remove emissions, get a nice downpipe, port the wastegate (ABSOLUTELY a must with an s4, HIGHLY recommended for a s5 to prevent boost creep). If you do all that, piggy back a S-AFC, and a boost controller to tweak it all up you should be running somewhere in the 250-280hp region I think. It's been a while since I've had my car dyno'd. However, I have seen s5 t2's with like 450, 500, 600 hp too w/ upgraded turbo's and ECU's and monster injectors. Welcome to the club and be sure to abuse that rotary rocket, it loves it.

Yes, an S4TII will bolt up to an N/A driveline. An S5 TII will bolt up to an N/A driveline. An S4 N/A will bolt up to a TII driveline. An S5 N/A will bolt up to a TII driveline. And any S4 or S5 engine will bolt up to a miata driveline.

Awsome....

I have a 1990 Rx7. I bought a S5 TurboII engine/Transmission. Can I use a turboII driveshalf and rear end with it .. or does it have to be S5? Sorry, I understood what you wrote, but I just want to make 100% sure before I spent the money.

Ok... well, I want the car to run in the low 13's on street tires. Im assuming that its going to take about 350WHP to do so, is this possible on a stock TurboII engine without Porting?

What up man. Travis here.

Id go with the t2 driveline and rear end as it can hold more power than the n/a version. If you put an n/a driveline and rear end in onto a turbo motor you wouldnt really be able to add any power especially the hp you are planning on making. Yes you can use s4 or s5 doesnt matter as rx7tuner states it is a boltup.

I remember thinking that the s4 drivetrain may be slightly different im not sure and may need some modifications. I do know that if your running a s4 turbo with a na tranny and drivetrain you will need to use the na flywheel and clutch. and vice versa for na with turbo drivetrain.

You can mix and match the engine and driveline but you can't mix parts within the driveline itself. Ex. An N/A driveshaft will not bolt to a TII rear end.

if the Rear end is Turbo,Yes it will work.so the S5 TII Engine trans will hook up to the S4 TII driveshaft and Onto the S4 TII rear end..Now,if the Rear Is a N/A rear end then you will have to Either Get a TII rear end and half shafts OR get a conversion shaft, they sell them On Madzatrix.com.

Before upgrading the turbo, how about you put the engine in the car and find out if it runs go or not. When it does, think about upgrading.
