S4 to S5 motor swap/

Is it possible to swap an s4 tII motor to a s5? just the 2 blocks not the manifolds? Also i would like to keep the mechanical oil metering system, would that work aswell? If so HOW?? I need help, I want the 200 base hp and yes I know about the differences in the manifolds/waste gate and turbo.

I doubt it would work, the S4 and S5 tIIs are totally differn't, I know you can't put an S4 n/a in a s/5, the ecus have differn't fuel maps due to different compression ratios

It will work fine. If you want to keep the OMP, swap the front covers too.
You can use the S5 turbo and manifold.
Use all your original wires/sensors/injectors.

Ive done this swap about 10 times.
If you have any questions email me.

Take into account the possibility of the 87 having low impedence injectors and the other car having high impedence injectors. Just a small thing to take into account.

I have a S4 car with a S5 block with a S4 turbo and injectors , wiring harness and ecu. It was a direct bolt in but I have to use 2 cycle fluid because the omp electric deosent work with s4 electronics.

Thanks Twincam, So do i NEED to swap the front covers? I have an S4 engine and i will be buying a just an S5 block w/ a street port. So which sensors do you mean S4 or S5? I want to keep the mechanical oiling system because i heard that that is better than the electric metering system. By the way do i have to switch the injectors as well or can i keep the stock S4 ones? for awhile anyways. I will eventually be switching to a Haltech E6K and larger injectors. For right now i am just wodering how i would go about this.

S4 stands for series four which are the second generation RX7 cars ranging from years 1986-1988. S5, obviously, stans for series five, which are years 1989-up on second generation cars.
