s4 to s5 intake swap ? (vacuum)

hello,
I have searched the FSM and this site repeatedly. I cannot figure out the 5 vacuum lines that are located directly above the primary fuel rail. I do not have a decent camera. Basically if you start at the AWS solenoid valve and follow the pipe that goes towards the center of the engine, 5 vacuum lines start where the pipe connects and turns to hose and then goes to the intake tube. I hope that you guys are following me. This is really frustrating. I am ready to bolt it all back together but cannot until I fugure out the vac issues. I am using the s5 vac spider and s4 LIM. It looks like the vac spider is sitting exactly like it came off the engine, but there are no connections near these line. I have been looking for pics, but cant find what I need. Please help. Thanx. The best way to describe this section is if you are looking down at it from the drivers side, it looks like your right hand (4 fingers, thumb pointing to the left)
thanx again.

Here is what I did (again):

You may wish to search next time before posting...

The yellow in the picture is the vac lines for all the air bleeds.

I know that I am in over my head. I am a noob. I love these cars. I have been working on this for 6+ weeks. I am doing this for 2 reasons. My PD was leaking, as was a primary injector. I had the S5 parts available to me so I decided to do the swap. I learn more and more each day. I am just trying to button this up in the next 2 days so I am finished before we leave for vacation. I knew I would get flamed but if you knew my frustration, you would understand.
O.K, maybe I see now, off the intake tube, I hook up 2 lines, one to each injector air bleed, and cap off the other 3?, no, that can't be right. UGHHH!!!

thanx Ddub,
I had that 6 months ago, until you get in there it looks easy on paper. I really do mean that I have tons of printed info.
I guess that I am looking for close up pics of an s5 engine with the upper intake off but still has the vac spider on. A pic of the primary fuel rail would probably show what I need to see. thanx again.

the more that I look at Icemark's colored schematic, it looks to me like 2 of the lines in question go to the secondary air bleeds. That leaves 3 lines to connect, do they go to the....wait just rechecked (again), are 4 of the 5 lines in question for the oil injectors? does the s5 not use that 4-way adapter that goes to the dynamic chamber from this spliter that comes off all oil injectors?
Then what about the secondary injector air bleeds? where do they go. I have never seen the vac system on an s5 engine in person. I have been looking for pictures, but can't find what I am after.

I just figured out the injector air bleeds....this is slowly coming together. Any input on the 5 vac lines that come off the AWS solenoid valve would be appreciated. Are 4 of them for the oil injectors? thanx

The S5 uses a 5 point break off for the oil injectors. 4 go to the injectors 1 goes to a nipple on the engine around the injectors. From your description, that's what it sounds like.

All the fuel injector and all the oil injector bleeds all will tie together and hook onto the intake before the throttle body.

Note that the write up that Carl did and dDub posted has this wrong, and just about useless for air bleeds.

I used the capped off smaller line coming down on the intake air tube next to the intake air tube connection for the BAC and AWS.

On the S4 intake tube, there are two metal lines dropping down, one larger one for the BAC and AWS, the smaller normally capped off. This capped off spot is what you want to use for the air bleeds (yep every single one of them, for both the oil and the fuel), for proper atomization of the oil and fuel from the bleeds.

Bingo, thank you guys very much, I think I have figured it out have have just finished bolting on the VDI manifold!!! Too bad I did not expose the fuel line that goes from the primary to the secondary fuel rail so now I am on my way to the driveway to unbolt the VDI manifold and get that fuel line out so I can hook it up this time. I am getting close, I am thinking about almost charging the battery. No, not yet, it looks like bending the oil metering rod is gonna be fun. That will take awhile I'm sure. Thanx again everyone.

The lower part of the rod, pretty much stays the same, you just have to bend the upper section to meet up with the throttle body.

cool, thanx Icemark. I just did a test fit and you are right doesn't look like too much bending. Another issue I am working on is the 2 nipples on the rear of the middle intake (VDI manifold). Cannot figure those out, also the 2 nipples below each injector air bleed? I usually see pics of one capped off, does the other go to the boost sensor? Last item...nipple on front of VDI manfild on drivers side.? (it points the same direction as the VDI actuator nipple. Believe me I have my books open, etc.. just point me in the right direction and I can figure it out. I may need to start charging the battery afterall. Thanx again.
