Question s4/s5 hybrid na 13b delima

a couple years ago i picked up an 88 gxl with a blown engine, intending to LS swap it.. but with situation changing, and loosing interest, i decided to just swap another 13b in the car and sell it. (love the car but i need a truck)... anyway i finally found a good 13b, guy claimed it was a s4, and it had the S4 intake manifold. so i didnt think anything more more of it.. i was more interested in compression check.. and making sure no cracks, broken studs or stripped threaded holes.. etc.. i missed the fact they removed the oil metering pump.. no huge issue.. premix.. i also didnt notice that it had been "emission-deleted" and it didnt come with a wiring harness.. i've been working on honda's for the last 15 years so i missed things when getting the engine..

so i started researching what all the emission delete entailed.. i noticed there was no EGR valve.. then i was like, there's no EGR ports in that center housing.. wtf??? i had both my bad engine that came out of my car and the new one.. then i started really comparing the two blocks.. and removed the EGR from my old block.. and what do you know??? there are ports under the EGR.. so then i started searching online and found out i have s5 rotor housings & and center plate.. i dont know enough to know if the front and rear plates are s4 or s5... (if there are any differences LOL)

one of the first things i noticed when i got the engine home was they removed some of the throttle blades out of the throttle body.. and a bunch vacuum and coolant nipples plugged.. so i have been trying to figure out how to use my old manifold without all that stuff deleted.

so this is what i'm trying to figure out: what can i get away with leaving off the engine, and not hurt cold start & idle.. daily drive-ability. etc..

i've decided that i'm not going to use the oil metering pump.. Premix ftw.
i've also decided to use my old upper intake manifold that still has the BAC on it..

what i need to know is those 4 vacuum solenoid valves under the intake plenum.. how necessary are they? will my ecu complain if they arent connected.. since there is no EGR on the s5 center plate.. and i could just bypass the other solenoid valves etc.. but i still want the car to run well..

one thing i'm going to do is transfer over the 5th & 6th intake port actuators from my old engine.. i've read of several ways to actuate them without the stock air pump which i dont plan on using.

here's some pictures.. let me know what you guys think.. and any good suggestions will be considered..
