S4/S5 electronics compatability Q

Quick Questions:
-Will S5 t2 injectors function correctly with an N332 (87 T2 ECU)?

Both are high 550's, so I figure, why not?

-Do S4 and S5 boost sensors function the same? ie:voltage scales the same?

Reason for asking is I'm running an S5 engine on S4 electronics minus these two items.

Thanks guys......

All FC ECU's are designed to drive high impedance injectors. The only difference is the wiring harness - earlier cars have a resistor pack in the wiring harness to work with the low impedance injectors.

Do some shop manual research on the two boost sensors. I'm pretty sure they're different - I know a buddy once blew up an '88 boost sensor by hooking up an '89-91 Racing Beat FCD to it. 5 minutes with both shop manuals will answer that question for you.

But, if you simply swapped in an '89-91 engine into an S4 chassis, and are going to run the car with the S4 ECU and wiring harness, just use the S4 boost sensor. No reason to run the S5 sensor. Functionally, they're the same.
