s4 to s5

Yes I know it was a dumb thing to do but I got a s4 motor for cheap after the compression went low on my s5. Ok well the new motor is in and i used the s5 harness with the s4 motor. well the car will now start but it dies shortly after. the check engine light is throwing up a tps code. has anybody else done this swap before and if so what did you do when it came to the different throttle bodies?

you need to use the S5 lower and upper intakes as well as the S5 throttle body. Also you need to use the S5 timing cover but use the S4 pullies. I used an S5 block in my girls S4 and had the same issues, the pullies threw me off. hope this helps

yeah i would have replaced the short block (even use the s5 front cover and mop) and just deal with the lower compression and heavier rotating assembly, while maintaining an easy swap.

short version--> you over complicated this project.
