the S5 has a different cap location than the S4. The S4 car has a coolant cap on the thermostat neck, so it has a rad that is specific to that.

no the thermostat neck is 2 bolt on s4 and 3 bolt on s5.
heres what S4 parts look like

The thermostat neck is the highest part of the cooling system.
On S5, the radiator feeler neck is the highest part.

you need the radiator and the shroud to be of the same year. ****** the top radiator hose, and after that, its a direct bolt in.

If you want to be creative and the CORE is the only thing leaking, then get the Rad from the Pick-a-part and take the Plastic pieces off the Core,.and put them on the usable core.
They are held on by Little fork like metal Tabs that compress the plastic to the Core,
Undo all those little tabs with a screw drive and BOB's Your Uncle!..it comes right off.
I did it,it works,,use some RTV on assembly, the Rubber O gasket may be Flattened a bit,(you'll see what I mean if you take the plastic top off the Core.)
Good Luck.
