S4 N/a block in a S5?
Yo Guys, I tried searching but since I can't use S4 and S5 it's pretty hard to find a answer.
I have a 1990 GX with a shot engine(I've pulled the engine apart, need a housing and rotor). But I've found a S4 block. What would I need to do to do the swap if it's possible? Can I bolt on the S5 intake manifolds?

...94% correct.
...or run premix. Also, in order to change pumps you have to change the front cover...you don't want to do that unless it's necesarry. Just bolt up the TB from the S4 to the S5 plennum run the mech. OMP if you don't run premix.
Keep in mind that you want to use the S5 injectors and as much off the S5 as possible. The LIM won't match the S4 block though and there's a vac valve thingy on top of the S4 block that has to be removed and blocked off. The UIM ad stuff will bolt right up to the LIM without a problem.

Heres a couple of things to keep in mind when you do this swap.
1. you will loose hp
2. you may have to modify the upper and lower intake unless you use the whole upper and lower intake from the s4
3. your compression will be lower and your engine will not spin as fast (you'll loose 1000 rpms of the top)
4. make sure all your bolt ons will fit the s4 engine

I am going to try this upgrade for the upper and lower intake.
