S4 fuel system in s5

I'm running an S4 fuel system, complete with s4 low impedence injectors on my s5 ECU/chassis. I switched pretty much everything else over to s5 stuff...

Anyway, do I have to use an S4 resistor pack/box or whatever? I tried splicing some 10w/10ohm resistors into the injector wires but that didn't seem to do anything. The injectors still aren't injecting any fuel into the block. I know I have fuel at the rail though.

If I pick up an S4 resistor pack where does it go? Would I just splice the injector wires to it somehow? Thanks for any tips ahead of time.

well, the "high impedance" injectors are usually 10 ohms or more, while the low impedance ones are about 3. you may have thrown too big of a resistor on each, altho I dont think thats the case. My first step would be to check the resistance of the whole harness from injector lead to ground, and then to check for signal from the ecu.

If it's a series five EM harness, then things should work.

Here's a easy check. Go to the ECU and pull the plugs off, Put a meter on the fuel injector wires one at a time. Each should have 12vdc on them if the key is to ON. No 12v? Then make sure the EGI fuses are good plus the ENGINE fuse in the interior.

Using a series four EM harness???? You NEED the solenoid resistor package in that case, plus , when you checked the fuel injector wires you would not have found 12vdc there.
