S4 Engine Coolant Flush

I'm looking to flush the engine block's coolant system.

My coolants been getting muddy colored since I went lazy and used normal water. Now I'm paying for it.

I'm trying to figure out where I'll hook up to just run a hose and pump water through the block till it's clear.

I'm thinking of making some quick plugs out of pvc or something and barb fittings for the rad hoses and removing the thermostat(I assume would block flow).

Sound good or is there something easier?

Rear coolant nipple is sealed shut and drivers side heater hose line is capped as well.

Oh, and let's hope none of that crud is holding in my coolant seals ahahahaha

Since you've got brown **** in your coolant system, you'll probably want to replace your hoses and thermostat anyways. I'd remove the thermostat and duct tape a water hose in the t-stat neck. Then, remove the lower hose from the radiator and put it in a big rubbermaid tub. Flush the **** out of it, then "properly dispose" of the old coolant. Repeat until clear. Repeat on radiator. Replace thermostat, radiator cap, and radiator hoses.

Some guys have had luck with running pure water and CLR in their engines and then flushing it after running for an hour. I wouldn't recommend it for your coolant seals' sake.

yeah, any chemicals that "clean" probably wouldn't be good in a 80k rebuild that's been track abused for 3 years.

I bought a new koyo since electrolysis took mine out finally. Lasted 6 years but now it's go pin holes everywhere.
