S4 13bt coil/sparking

Hi i have a 1986 s4 rx7 13bt.
I got the car half in bits as had spat a rear apex seal. Engine is rebuilt and back in car has 110psi even compresson.
cant get it to fire up, Both leading L1 and L2 fire at same time on front pulley. Do they run a wasted spark? or is sumthing wrong as the trailing fires were it should and T2 fires at diffrent time.. but T2 was firing at tdc and T1 was firing were i think T2 should so i swaped them around... All the anti smog gear is off it as we dont have to run it new zealand. Also i have a fuel pump switch as S4 bad at flooding. it seems to wet plugs and flood badly as soon as i turn it on.

Top recap Both L1 and L2 fire at timing mark.
T2 fires at timing mark and T1 fires else were. swap T1 and T2 around then T2 fires at timing mark along with both L1 and L2... any idea as whats up?

Also i never seen car runing before i got it so cant say if it had any running problems before hand

The leading is only one coil with two outputs...so yes they both fire at the same time.

Timing is probably off, but fresh motors are generally hard to start depending on how they were rebuilt. Do some searching.

try some new plugs, first start is VERY rough on the plugs. clean the old plugs with some throttle body cleaner that will dry completely or bead blast all the old junk off them.

also double check the CAS timing.

then the CAS is 180* out, try swapping the trailing plug wires to see what happens.

if it's at 0 split leading-trailing then the engine isn't in idle mode. it will drop down to zero split just off idle and into light loads before the split begins to widen.

if it's below 1k then there should be a split from leading to trailings. if not could be something like a TPS way out of calibration or an AFM that was messed with.
