S-AFC pointless on a N/A??
As of recently I've been interested in buying an Apexi S-AFC for my 87 N/A. But in most of the info i read it talks about boost and turbo related stuff, so what Im asking is an S-AFC pointless on an N/a. My car has gutted cats, ractive mufflers, pacesetter headers, custom cold air intake, and soon to be removed air pump.

For the turbo guys, the s-afc usually is used to richen the motor up a bit. With the s-afc for the n/a guys, its used to lean it out.
When i did 90% of the work to my car, it developed a couple high end studders...or flat spots. I had it put on a dyno with a wideband....and come to find out, i was running about 10-1 air fuel ratio!! By leaning it out i picked up around 20 or so hp. It was a must have mod for me.

Simple answer, it will help you out & give you more power.
It would be of more use if you had larger secondaries, or a bigger fuel pump. But still, it has a use.
I'm eventually getting one for my N/A. Full Streetport, Portmatched Intake, Cone Filter, Midpipe, Single Catback, and soon to have 550cc Secondaries.
