S-afc and Bov questions/issues

Recently I had installed an Apexi S-AFC and Apexi BOV. The afc has a setting to correct for open atmosphere BOV's. Right now it is set at Ne1 and Ne2 10%. What should these values be?? Also, the adjust screw on the BOV, I know it says tighten until you dont have any leaks at idle but how tight can/should I make it? I dont hear any leaks but if its not tight enough can that affect my boost response (ie. the bov will vent some when making positive boost and it shouldnt yet?) Help please!
Thanks all.
-Seth

if its adjusted too conservatively you will notice some compressor surge... loosen it until you hear it leaking and then turn it back some. I have an Apexi Twin Chamber on my turbo II with no problems and no SAFC

you should have a vacuum line that puts pressure on top of the valve to keep it closed when under boost. So NO it shouldn't vent boosted pressure out. the spring setting is merely the rate at which the valve opens. During idle your motor is in vacuum, so it shouldn't vent there either. Actually it won't vent at all. It'll draw in air if there's a leak. If you have the stock system, then this will cause your car to run like poop.

Ok, that makes sense about setting the Bov. Thanks. Anyone have any tips on the AFC setting for open venting BOV's?

the settings are not needed on our cars. they are for DSM's etc that would just stall when the BOV went off. mine is just at whatever it came at. or off.

Thanks Scott. Yea, I tried setting it differently a couple times and didn't really notice any changes. I won't mess with that anymore. Thanks!
