?'s about fmic install
yes the problem is a leak
BUT
it's from your BOV...
the stock bov CANNOT be vented to atmosphere..
by design it lets air leak throught it slightly...
remove the BOV plug the hole and go for a spin..
or temporarily recirculate it

"ABS can be used between -25°C and +60°C."

60C is about 140F.
Pre-IC intake air temps can hit 200F+ easily.
That's 100C+!
You're asking for trouble if in fact you're using ABS...

Ok, pulled the BOV and it only got slightly better, so I'll just vent it back before the turbo now. On a side note, it still flutters, so it's either compressor surging or wastegate flutter.

perhaps the install was a coincidence?
u could just disconnect the FMIC's hot pipe at turbo, and the turn the cold elbow back up... put the stock TMIC back on, and take it for a quick spin..and see what happens.. shouldn't take long... u don't have to take the FMIC all the pipes off or anything... just enough to get the TMIC back on...
if it's ur WG or ur BOV the problem will be still there..
otherwise we narrow it down to the FMIC+piping...
