rx7 vs. poopra

my friend has a 95? i think supra its a mk4 i know that and non-turbo. i have 90' rx7 non-turbo. this isnt a drag race!!!! he bet me a hundred buck that his car can out handle mine. i agreed to it because i know his car ways a lot even tho he has lowering springs and some really good tires. i have all stock with some pretty grippy tires. i asked what road we were racing on a he said "wherever you wanna lose" so im goin to try and find the curviest road around here. just lookin on some opinions on what car handles better

I'd have to guess supra. Sure, he is 500 lb's heavier, but he has a better suspension and tires.

what model is your car? GXL?

Also, yeah... driver is going to play a huge factor here, hit up a driving school.

But there's a pretty big difference between a base 5 lug susp and a GTU or GXL, And an even bigger difference between a car with worn out **** and good condition stuff.

Hey, will you post which road your going to race at so I can not be on it when you kill someone. Not to be harsh but pay the $50 and go to a track for a couple hours. Competing at a track against a watch is a lot safer.

About 4 hours from where you are. This is moving off the topic but actually going and driving on a real track is an incredible experience. It really improves your skills. If you really want to find out what a car is capable of, take it to a track.

I think you seariously lost a $100 unless your suspension is really modded out.

put your rx7 on a diet and just take the cars to an autox and compare times, it's all low speed tight b.s. that you will probably do well with.

If he wants to see who can out handle who do an autoX. Power doesn't mean much on the autoX. You will loose on a track, especially the one you posted with all those straight aways. Go buy some shocks and springs asap

Well when you choose a road look for a industrial park that is curvy. If anything compare time attacks and have someone clock it (like him in your passenger and then you in his).

unless you wanna be really serious. In that case unbolt passenger seat, remove all carpeting and remove ac and powersteering. All you need is some block off bolts for the rack and those weight removers don't cost anything except a little blood and sweat.
