You should DTJ motorsports in Detroit. I know that's not in the West, but Darrin's a good mechanic and has road raced multiple RX-7's.

Hmmm let me think "race scene" OK I guess you can call it that. I went out to Rogers Plaza two weeks ago and last week. There were 120 cars I would guess. Nice mix. Domestic muscle and the import crowd. Mostly kids in the import crowd (I am 24 and feel old) with civics and eclipses and anything else a wing can bolt on to. 2 rx3s 3 fbs 1 fc I got all kinds of looks with the FD. Two weeks ago a group went out to the boonies and raced. I went to watch. Lined up 1 on 1 got 5 or so races off then the cops came flying in. The kids all ran and flew out of there. I just sat and watched. It was like the scene in F&F. Hehehe I love being older, the cops did not even give me a second look. Yeah if you want to come over let me know and I will show up. It it not something I do every weekend. Guess it is not my "scene" Hope that helps.

 

i have only been out on Friday nights. I don't know what goes down on Saturday. Maybe I will drive out tomorrow and give you a full report of the "GR Race Scene"

LOL yeah we went out there last night! There was 1 fc and 1 fb! It was kinda cool just to see that many cars gathering, granite most of them werent worth much but there was a handlfull of cars that I liked!
Cops were everywhere!!! I doubt there is much racing! I dont see us going again anytime soon!

I do have to say that on the way out 2 guys in a civic wanted to race from a light to my exit to go back home, so I complied and the light went green. I had 4 cars on him in 100 ft he looked over as I turned like (OMG)

Anyways if we do go again then we will have to have everyone from that area with a 7 go, that would be sweet!!!

 

It was decent. Besides a few cars that were cool...the only good part of the night was when I raced a 2002 Honda CBR F4. Good race too.
