Time attack, eh?

The best thing you can do is hook up with people who know what they're doing...usually you'll find them at the top of the driver's standings...and *listen* to them.

Things like driver skill is the most important. That's why you'll see POS going around the track one wheel off the ground beating some great cars. Driver skill only comes from applying proper theory learnt from the right people, over time.

Modifications wise, there's a world of things before considering tranny swaps (i.e. like tires, suspension, engine in that order).

Have one of the good guys take a lap in your car, it'll be very educational.

We're talking about transmission manufacturers, and Aisin is one of them. I was merely pointing out his mispelling. It has nothing to do with 'asian'.

I think he was butthurt from my mispelling not know what we're referring to

Is it just me or is there an increasing number of kids who think that everything just bolts together. I've seen **** from, I got a free fuel pump from my buddies mustang - will it fit? to I dunno how many fawking 6 spd swap threads. & honestly how many times is the same "can i swap a twin turbo rew into my base FC, what do i need to do" threads are there going to be.... or why can't I slap a turbo on my N/A with 200,000 miles?

You check the "funny/stupid/etc. things" thread? How about bolting on extra rotors for more power?

Get a convertable's differential for taller gears. 6 speed isn't what you want and it's impractical. 4 speed would be better, though I bet that's also impractical.

the 6 speed actually has shorter gears. you would need to change your dif out for something else. and no a supra dif will not work. this thread needs to die. sounds like somone just wants to be hella cool and have a sick *** whip with 6 gears. change your gears in your dif if you want shorter gears. a 6speed supra trans cost like 3k or more. you can tell me other wise but its gonna cost a **** load of money. you will need to get a new fly wheel cuz the the supra trans is pull type instead of push. it wont be worth it. maybe a rx-8 trans would be cheaper but still gonna cost alot. also you would prolly have to do a custom trans tunnel for the v160 which i think is taller than ours. V160 is the supra trans. this thread just needs to die

If time attack becomes the new drifting, I'm all for it...drifting is for rallying on loose/slippery surfaces - WRC FTW!

Why call it Time Attack when it's Time Trials anyway? I guess cuz Time Attack is more JDM.

What I meant was "the new 'teh kewl' thing for everyone with more money than sense to get involved in and deplete the supply of good used sports cars."

Blame SPEED for showing 1/2hr TV shows that 'rice' ANYTHING they show, including Time Attack. ( somehow they manage to rice CART. ), don't blame japan for the way their events and motorsports are portrayed in shows produced in the US.

Someone needs to link a real Tsukuba TA event..
