rx7 shut off while driving, wont start

Bogged out while driving, turned it on again, it revved up to about 2500 rpm then shut off, wont start anymore. The car has a fuel cut off switch, no luck using that, also pulled the fuse, still no luck. Any suggestions on what the problem could be? And yes it does have about half a tank of gas.

Mine did the same thing the other day. It was running on 1 rotor for a while. I think one of the injectors got stuck open, or one of the sparks wasnt firing for a sec and caused one of the rotors to become VERY VERY flooded. I had to take the spark plugs out, and mess with the injectors. A few hours later it worked fine, both rotors worked and I drove 1000 miles the next day with no issues. *Shrug*

Im not saying thats your problem, but that's what happened to me.

Talking

One day while driving a vac hose blew off on my car. It wouldn't idle. Check all your hoses. I found the hose on mine and zip tied that sucker up!

Cheers,
Cody

I second this - for me it was a large hose on the bottom of the intake pipe after the AFM.

I had an alternator belt snap while driving one day and the car immediately died. Took me hours to figure out what happened. Turns out, the snapping belt SHEARED off all of my CAS wires underneath the electircal tape... so from the naked eye it looked like they were all still attatched..

silly stuff happens sometimes. I doubt its a blown motor. Check compression anyways, then check for fuel and spark. Post your updates
