Question rx7 real pain in the--- ss!!!!

well i took the car from the dealership yesterday, we did find that the fuel pump was gone , it is reving good but its still looking for idle. it idles real high but if i put my foot unfer the gas peddle and pull up on it it lowers the idle, when it sits and its idleing about 1300 to 1500 it goes back and forth, but one thing i did see that the exhaust was red hot and the cat was also. so whats that mean ?? to lean or what.now in my past threads , they did a compression check 85 on the front all around , the back was 85 on one side and 57 on the other two , its a new engine so im thinking the apex seals havent lossened up yet. ive been told to drive the car for a bit , but with the cat and exhaust hotter that crap, im afriad to take it for a spin. give me your thoughts people. thanks

you take the car to the dealership and you have at least 4000 mechanics on line to give you advice AFTER the dealer has destroyed it?..why did you not ask before giving it to the dealer if you don't mind me askin?..if it was modified before you brought it to a dealer..they don't know it is..and have probably not dealt with stuff like that done to a motor like that!..if anything ..I would have asked BEFORE bringing into the money grubbers ...get a person who knows the engine to look at it..what about the builder?..(just an opinion ..not a raggin..)

well if u look at all my threads i have asked , and i ran out of ideas from here, everything i didnt made no difference. plus it was modded at one time , after the the engine blew i took it back to stock , the only thing that we did was slightly ported. other than that its all stock. beleave me man the dealership was the last place i wanted to take it but i had no other choice. no one around here works on them, thats why i was screwed. plus i know ithe mechanic personaly , he was the only one working on it. but thoses **** tards couldnt seem to get the idle thing down . it does run better but still not the way it should so im back to square a again. **** i hate this. if i didnt love this car so much and have sunk so much money into it , it would have been gone along time ago.

i'm sorry RX7FROMCAL you have been stepped on by "outsiders" stay within the innercircle ..no harm shall come to you..WTF?..seriously i would find someone with knowledge about the type of engine to work on it..you may want it to be a NON-FRIEND..but an experienced rotary guy...Because you know that if **** HAPPENS..and it does ...you don't want to lose a friendship..afterall ..it's just a car..and look at what happened the last time ..Your "friend" bailed on ya...useless info..but looks good in type!

well the prob is solved after nine months of this car being down, come to find out the bottom intake had two nuts missing causing a major ******* vacum leak, here we had this dam thing at the dealership for 30 days and thoses **** tards couldnt figure it out, gawd im so pissed at my self for doing that , a auto shop thats in the same location my gyms at , the owners a good freind of mine and said after pulling it from the dealership take it my place and see what my guy can do , so i said ok, he had it up on the rack and we were looking under the car looking up at the botoom intake and sure enough two nuts missing . then he ran a code check and 17 came up o2 sensor, so he checked that came back ok , but just to make sure he put another one on, fired the ****** up and purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrred like a kittken. i was fricken floored!!!!! anyways just wanted to say thank you for all your great help again, my hats off to all of you thanks, and god bless. rx7fromcal
