Hello everyone,

How much of a difference in the body/chassis is there between a RX7 GXL and a TII? I know there is the hood and tail lights, but is there anything else? Can I swap the tail lights, or all of the body parts from a TII to a GXL?

I've searched around the forums for a good bit and didn't find my answers.

depends on the year.

the 86-88's the only difference is the hood

the 89-91's its the hood and the t2 has holes in the rocker panels for the moldings.

 

the differences in the body of the cars of the same series is negligable, the only main differences are in the hoods and if they are steel or aluminum. as well of course the badges and wheels.

 

The only difference in taillights was between S4 vs. S5 and then coupe vs. convertible. So a TII and a GXL of the same series have the same taillights.

 

Would the tails lights from a s5 install onto a s4? Say an from a 90 TII to a 86 gxl?
