We've seen it. It looks dumb and broken. That was the point of that comment.

Trust me, most of us don't like more ricey look. 18" rims are ricey. The Rx-8 rims are ricey on a Rx-8. The Rx-8 is ricey. Seen the taillights?

Most people on here who know what they are doing are running 15s or 16s. Anything bigger than a 17 is too big on a FC. For OEM you can't beat a set of S5 TII/GTUs rims IMO.

Damn people I know first hand the 18in RX8 wheels will NOT fit in the front. Look bad in the rear.

WHY????

The offset is totaly off and ontop of that 18s look gay on FC's.

Fix if you insist.

Wheel spacers

No, I hate all politicians...evenly across the board.

I've seen Fahrenheit 9/11, if you can believe that.
I thought it was the biggest-bunch-of-trash-of-an-excuse-of-a-"movie", cause I know all the bullshit that happens with Washington politics - nothing in the movie surprised me; it will shock the **** out of people who have no clue how politics works.
But enough about that crap...

Oh contrare...

Some of my favorite rims on an FC are...

AVS VS-6 / Model-6 / Model-06
Advan SA3
Volk Racing Group-C

These are not ricey, but I do call them "old school JDM".

I got a set of Panasport C5C's from Zroc that are very understated also.

To me, the stock RX-8 look damn "ricey" when stuffed on an FC - they look like those old Concept Neeper rims...yuck.

Why would you put RX-8 wheels on your FC? It is completely pointless, only reason you'd do it is to be a ricer.

18" on FC = stupid
RX-8 18" wheels = 22-23 lbs EACH, without tire
Spacers = stupid, and fairly large spacers are required for the RX-8 wheels
RX-8 wheel design does NOT match the Late 80's/Early 90's styling of the FC

Don't do it.

I think if you like the wheels, then put them on your car. Ignore all the crap everyone else on this forum says, cause when it comes down to it, it's your car.

At the same time everyone is entitled to an opinion... Even though you didn't ask.

My opinion (and that's all it is) is that 18s are just fine on an FC. I have some myself and think they look great (not RX-8 rims though, spacers are illegal in Aus). There's no noticeable performance loss that I can tell, but I haven't measured down to 100th's of seconds on a track, so...

I'm always torn with you Ted... I hate bush AND full size hotwheels cars. Personally I can't wait to slap some Vert BBS's on mine when I finally 5 lug swap it.

2 roomates by my house have a new rx-8 and 350z. they swapped wheels and it kinda looks wierd because at a first glance when you see them together the 350z rims look better on the rx8 than the rx8 do on the 350z

You forgot the extra weight of the spacers and larger lugs

It looks ok, but I think the fd wheel would look alot better on the fc then the rx8 wheels.

I think the Rx-8 wheels look nicer but the FD wheels are much lighter and are a better performance option.
