What do you mean the fenders are S5??? There are no differences in the body panels from S4 to S5, except for the front bumper, and the trim on all S4 cars is black, and on S5 cars the trim is body colored.

Im pretty sure he meant the trim, and hes right, the trim is different.

The S5's were not only body color, but different also. They were more flat and the accent line was lower and not symmetrical to the trim. Overall a smoother and a design that has aged better.

If you want to see S4 moldings painted, HERE

dwilliams: I love your work.. Can you give us noobs to graphic design how you do this? Do you design each piece graphically and then assemble? If you want some high-res pictures to help out with the minor details (like mirrors, turn signals) that link should help

NICE WORK!

Thanks for all the comments. I would like to clear a few things out. thanks to TBoost for the insght!

I would like to say that I am available for freelance work if anyone would like to recommend or use me. I can produce almost anykind of 3d your looking for including "other" cars :P (hard working guy still looking for his break into the industry)

Everything is modeled. There is no texture grooves. I have attached a pic to this post for an example of what is modeled. The windows will become semi transparent in the animation as I will be completing the interior of the car for that.

The tires are completed modeled no textures there either check out the pic Im attaching to this post. I agree there does need to be a decent texture on them also along with the modeling. Turn signals DO have trans and bump applied to them. Although they were just slapped on in the end. I will tweak them for the animation, thank your for pointing that out!

the nose is a series 4/5 hybrid. I couldnt make up my mind.

As for all the request for different styles bodykits etc. I cant fulfil all of them, I made the turbo2 didnt I?

I will be producing a short animation for this car model 20-30 seconds and it will be available sometime later this month. Again I will post it for all of you to download - 2nd gen all the way!

The car was modeled in 3dsmax using the box modeling technique, if anyone was interested.

Early test render of model showing modeled components.

Rx-7Addict I'm looking at your site with all your rx7 pics. What a valueble resource! Do you mind if I use some of your snapshots for interior and engine textures for my animation? Would you be able to take some high res pics of your tail lights minus the flash on them? And perhaps some engine pics of specific parts, intercooler, engine block (or if anyone else has their engine block outside there car) intake, TB, etc?

Very cool!

Cheers,

Daryl,

How much other work have you done? I would recommend getting Maya and learning that if you want to get into the film industry. We could've used a modeller like you for some of our scenes in Matrix 3. Every big special effects house uses Maya or is going to start using Maya very soon. Try to get a copy any way you can and start learning it.

Keep up the good work!

LOL! Thanks for the complement but I'm far from it! I've only had 3 years experience so far although my first project was 'Ice Age'.
