RX-7 stalling when changing back to neutral gear.

Hi I bought my 91 RX-7 about a year ago. has 211,000 miles on it, fairly used.

My problem is that when im driving and ive had the car turned on for about 20 minutes the idle speed gets very low, like 500,400 RPM.

Sometimes when I shift from a gear back to neutral, lets say im coming up to a stop, and I have it in 3rd. As soon as I drop into neutral the RMPS drop low and the engine turns off. (happens about 20 percent of the time)

Sometimes when im sitting at a red light and the car has been on 20 to 30 mins Plus, the car idles very very low and dies. I have to turn the on car 2 or 3 times through my driving experience because if i have the car on for to long it will idle slow and turn of.
??

Please help? I have no clue what the problem could be.

I would check the spark plugs too. I had a very similar issue and found that my leading plus insulator on the front rotor had broken off.

When I rebuilt my engine, you could see its skid mark it left in the housing before ejecting out of the exhaust port. Thankfully it didn't take any seals with it.

I assume this isn't happening when you first start the car and let it idle then? If it is then it could be a vacuum leak instead.
