i'm trying to learn to use 3ds max right now but it is complicated. Man i wish i could do **** like that. That is truly awesomne. Keep it up man. You could get on polyphony digitals staff. ^_^

btw do you use anything other than studio max to put on the textures or can you do all those lighting effects and such in 3ds max?

My fave background is the red t2. But i just made a new 1600x1200 black t2 for you.

Its harder then you think to win over companies with your 3d renders. So far, no job offers but ill keep trying. Been working 5 years at 3d, why stop now?

but do you do all of the textures in 3ds max or do you do some of it in photoshop or some other image editor.

texture for the model such as the "tail lights" are done in photoshop. But if you mean after effect editing in photoshop like adding wheels etc, no everything is modeled in max.

OHHH no! The truth comes out, it IS A SERIES 4 :P

Hey dwillms
is there any way that you could make the black less glossy a little more flat.. or maybe not even as dark?
another good question do you think you could generate an s5 TII? cause that would be PHAT! man how long did you go to school to do this stuff?

Beautiful work man! But.... I have a challenge for you. Any chance that you could mimic the presence of prismatic flake in the paint? try it and I'll post pics of my s4 to check it against

Working on completing under the hood and interior of car now. Also I will be putting the (rx7) into a real life scene, road or what not.

airbrush1: Paint fleck texture? no prob! what color paint? what color flecks you wana see?

WonkoTheSane: Box modeling all the way. patches are useless in max!

jreynish: I will try some different paint styles in later renders.

Wow... thats REALLY good stuff there. Awhile back I tried to get into that but.... hehe... i sucked at it, what can i say.

What would be really cool if there was a way to make like a program where you could take the model like that but modify it somehow (like rims... wing... body kit...) but I don't think you could do that without doing a ton of work.

I've got the black TII as my background right now (s4's rule! ) but it needs some non-chrome wheels!

I don't suppose theres any way I can get that model off of you? I use lightwave so I should be able to import it and do some animations with it
I've been meaning to model one for a long time but I've been doing alot of things with bones latly and just didn't get around to it, asside from the fact that I'm not very good at modeling in particular.

I really admire that work. I am a graphic designer, but 3D has always stumped me. I am wondering why you used PS 5.5? Were these made that long ago? or is there a cross program issue? With that kind of talent you should be driving something a little more upscale by now. You should market yourself, I recommend the healthcare industry. I work for a large health system in PA and they hire outside help often to create models of human anatomy and cell structures and the like. Don't let that skill go to waste.
