RX-7 Newb...

As the title states I'm an RX-7 newb and I have an opertunity to buy one its an 1987 non turbo and the car runs prettygood but may need a clutch soon and the body is a little rough but other than that the car seems good. hes willing to let it go for 600.00 any thoughts or suggestions on this? Also how difficult is it to turbo charge the non turbo version?

Thanks for any info.

186k miles? Yeouch! That must be the reason you're getting it for 600. I bought my 88 GTU for $150 with 170k miles on it. (long story) But the engine if taken excellent of is only designed to handle about 200k miles N/A.

So you've only got 14,000 miles or about an average year's driving before you're REALLY gonna need a new engine. So factor the costs using <search>

FAQ is a godsend.. Trust me, read up on FAQ!!!

Yes, definitely look at the FAQ, "stickied" at the top of the 2nd gen Tech. page. It has links to several sites explaining what exactly to look for when buying a 2nd gen. Rx7.

I would never buy an Rx7 without first checking the engine's compression. I believe this is a MUST.
