RX-7 factory options incorrect??

i was reading the thread on options and etc. and i noticed that its not all rite, i have an 86 base but yet i had cruise control, illuminated ignition keyhole, LSD, p/s, and a few more options that according to the sheet, they werent even available for an 86' base. does anybody else w/ an 86' have these options as well?

You could add almost any option to any car you wanted at the dealer. Or, they were installed later.

I had an '86 parts car that was the Canada only GX model. Had all those options you listed above minus the LSD and cruise, but also a sunroof, tilt steering, storage bins, power mirrors and bolstered seats. Yet strangely, no A/C, power windows or locks.

i see, but another thing was that my car was a mutt. it had parts from all types of FC's such as the rear wiper (which i hate) aluminum hood i also had elctric mirrors and a/c. also something i noticed is that it says "oil capicity 6.1 qts" arent u only supposed to put 5 qts of oil in the car?

The 6.1 is the DRY capacity. If you are changing then you need about 5 quarts.

You probably don't have a base (which came w/4 lug steel wheels), but rather a GXL, as the GXL was the only 86 that had most of the options you listed.

So, if you do not have all the options that a GXL has, then you probablt don;t have a factory mutant, but rather a wrecked or stripped car that someone put together.

From: Kissimmee Fl,
yea im thinkin it was put together by someone becuase the GXL has AAS standard rite? mine doesnt and it has manual windows as well, i dont know what wheels it came with since i bought it with aftermarket wheels. but im pretty sure the engine was taken out at one time because i have alot of plugs that are just hanging going into nothing also the air pump and ACV have block off plates. it was pretty fast for what it was(kept up with turbo II's) but its dead now and is now a parts car. and my rear wiper doesnt plug into anything its just there.
