rust on FC, were to look?
im planning to buy a FC and i know alot were to find the bad rust on FB(1 gens) but i dont know were to look on the FC. can anybody can tell me were too look at? i know the first gen tend to rust on the fender wells pretty bad and under the kick panel, do sec gens have that same problems? thanks
Like all cars - anyplace where debris can collect or layers of metal are close together.
For example the bottom & rear edges of the doors & wheel houses.
A common place is around the edges of the sunroof.

13b drifters got it. Right underneat the hatch, above the licence plate, thats a really really good place that collects rust, when I put my hand under there, flakes came off!
Also, check the wheel wells real good, and the whole underbody of the car. If we could classify rust from the worst to not so bad it would be like this
1.Chasis rust, anything that affects the structural integredity of the frame
2.Body rust.

Underneath the storage bins. Nasty spot.
Pull the front wheel well liners...look directly towards the rear of the car. Down where the wheel well meets the floor is a nasty spot as well. Front of the rear wheel wells tend to rust, as well as the pinch welds (duh). Behind the license plate, and anywhere on the edge of the wheel wells. The spare tire and jack area is notorious due to leaks from the taillight gaskets.

If it's a vert, check at the back of top directly below on the floor pan and in the trunk, because there are drain holes (on the coupe I think too) taht can get clogged up with leaves and junk and hold water
