Running w/o knock box?

Has anyone ever run their S4 TII without a knock box? Any side effects?

Thanks!!

there isn't a knock box, it's controlled by the ECU, and there is a knock senor... unless he's talking about an aftermarket part.

Wrong, S4 TII's run a knock box seperately from the ECU. S5 TII's have them integrated into the ECU itself. Supposedly, it only pulls like 7 degrees timing max so I'm wondering if anyone runs without it on their S4 TII.
