Running TII block NA

Running TII block NA
I have an s5 TII block that i just ported and rebuilt. I still dont have everything needed to run the motor turbo. I do however have everything for an NA motor. I was wondering can I put my NA manifolds on the turbo block and just run it like that for break in? I was concerned if the stock NA injectors would be good enough for running the ported motor. Basically what will i need to do to run the TII block NA for a bit.

hrm... I would just use the TII manifolds and route the air intake to the other side of the car. You'll have to move your battery... you will also need some sort of exhaust manifold. I think an n/a manifold would work? You are not going to see a lot of power out of this... but really all you need it for is to be driveable.

mild street port? I bet you are still not flowing as much as a 6 port n/a engine. Not the s5 engine at least.
not to mention that the n/a injectors have a LOT of headroom... for the n/a engine.

Well lets see... right now I have the NPR FMIC, Stage 3 BNR turbo, TurboXS RFL BOV, Walbro 255lph, TII drivetrain, I still need to save up and get Microtech, Racing Beat turbo-back exhuast, make IC pimping, ACT heavy duty clutch, and 780cc injectors for my car to run turbo. That might take about 2-3 months to get.
Exactly how bad will it run and how much slower than a stock NA?

I havent been driving my rx7 for amost a year now..... how would you feel? i want to drive it so bad
If you run N/A mapping on a four port streetported turbo motor, it will idle poorly, get bad gas mileage, and be low on power. You'd have to fabricate some sort of intake for the TII throttle body and intake manifolds, because you can't just bolt up the six-port manifolds to a four port motor. Don't forget you'll have to mount the AFM somewhere until you buy your microtech.
Too much work. Wait a couple more months (like many of us have), then really enjoy your car.

Well I talked to RETed and Atkins rotary and they both said the engine should run fine with what I want to do. It is a lot of work, but hey thats the same work id have to do when I run my engine turbo. I'm basically just stopping short and running it NA. The car is an 87 NA so the wiring and ecu are already in there. Battery is being relocated to the passanger bin right now, so the MAF can go in that location. Basically like one of you said run the TII intake manifold, and NA exhuast manifold. Hook up the rubber tube with the MAF upto the TII TB. Run the stock NA injectors, and wah la. Atkins said not to push it, but it should run fine and idle fine.
