running rich

hello,
i wanna start off stating that i know rx7s arent Honda's and i also searched but i guess im using the wrong keywords.

anyway i have a 1988 mazda rx7 vert with the stock 6port (non working)
the car is running incredibly rich... so rich in fact that your eyes water.
i get anywhere from 60-100 miles to the tank... if i baby it or beat on it.

so far i have replaced the
Tstat
the sensor under the Tstat
sparkplugs
wires
fixed the leak that i had in my exhaust

background on the car
completly stock
5speed
msd 6A
premix
electric fan mod
operating temp 170-190
the octane i run is 93.

any help will be greatly appriciated im sure you all know how hard it is to be broke. filling up 2-3 times a week at 3.05 a gallon IS KILLING ME PLEASE !!!!HELP!!!

First off start running 87 octane! 93 will only help if your turbo'd to prevent detonation. Second, figure out why your aux ports arent working. I average a little over 100 miles for $20 (about 6.8xx gallons) in my S4 n/a with some mods. That's with a mix of mostly city with some highway driving. ALSO my aux port have been wired open the entire time since i dont have them hooked up yet.

I feel you on the "ghetto crap". My S4 N/A motor had removed aux sleeves/actuators when i i first bought it. DAMN NOOBS! But over time ive taken care of most the garbage that was done to it. As for rotary resurrections writes up's all of them are great. I use his site on a daily basis for information. Strange about your problem with 87 octane, its been said many times on this forum that 87 is the way to go if your running n/a.

so i filled up with the mid grade i ran Lucas fuel system cleaner in my gas with sea foam and mmo and my premix... (im desperate.) also sea foamed thru my vacuum line. so far im 1/8 or half a tank full with 67-72 miles on the clock.. thats a improvement i usually get that much for a whole tank. if i can get some money soon ill get my fuel filters replaced. thats pretty much all i got for a update so far. thanks for the help

get an oxygen sensor, as long as you have no misfires, and you don't have low compression.
