running to rich?
the engine is a 91 S5 13BtII JDM, im running a carter p70199 external fuel pump, car has a hard time starting takes around 5 tries to get it to fire up, then i have to feed it some fuel for 20 seconds before it can idle by its self, but then it idles fine.
i leave it warm up and the more gas i give it the more smoke comes out but its white is but smells rich, not a antifreeze smell, if i rev it up to 6K i get a nice rush of white rich gas cloud coming out, at first i figured the turbo was burning oil, but it would be a blue cloud and it would not smell like rich gas, the last compression test be fore i installed the engine was 97psi front and back solid 3 bounces on the gage. im running premix (i put to much pre mix but i can sort if see the extra oil in the smoke cloud and in using Castrol gtx premix) i have new plugs and wires.
now im not to sure if this started at the same time as when i took off my after burner valve or not but i think its around the same time, could that be the cause of it??
and an other ? this is going to sound dumb but here it gos, i cant seam to find the o2 sensor wire in my diagrams, what wire im i suposed to be using?
at first i was not using the o2 sensor. but then i try to plug it on the green with black tracer wire (the one just on top of the watter pump housing ish) so when i pluged the o2 sensor on it seamed to run less rich, could just be a fluke tho.
thanks in advance
edit: i should say im using external fuel pump cause this is in a 85 Gs first gen
and do you guy think that this pump might have to much psi and cause it to run to rich some i found some specs saying it pushes 130psi?
