Running Rich

My car runs really rich, at idle it blows out black smoke constantly and it smells like ****. its a N/A with a TII swap, and i have a Walboro 255 Fuel Pump. Is it the Fuel Pump makeing my car run rich and should i get a FPR, anyone know how to solve the problem.

Definately want some sort of FPR.... You don't have one at all? I would say thats highly unlikely unless you removed it.

You can verify this is a problem by checking fuel pressure with a gauge. You should see about 38PSI or so at idle, but you will likely see a bit higher with the Walbro. Unless the pressure is radically too high, you will not be rich enough to blow black smoke.

What is the condition of the rest of the car? Plugs? Wires? Sensors? Is you timing set correctly? AFM in the factory horizontal position? How old are the injectors and have they been serviced recently?
