running on one rotor?

today when driving i noticed i lose like all my power at about 4000rpm, the car still accelerates just really slow even at full throttle. also it won't rev beyond 5500, justs stutters and the cars shakes like the motor is turning on and off. below 4000rpm the car is fine, pulls like normal.

also after it rains the car isn't driveable at all until it idles for 15-20 min, it won't rev beyond 1500 rpm untill fully warm and if you hit the gas at all it just drops back to idle.

on warm dry days the car usually runs fine, just this week it's been cold and raining.

the car is an 86 GXL.

I had a blown engine and if it pulls fine up to 4k, then it's not blown. If it were, it would shake violently at idle and would shutter when you stepped on the gas.

i know it's not blown since it runs fine below 4000, i'll check the injectors. anything to suggest for the other problem, the not running properly when it's damp out.

If your ignition wires or plugs are borderline, dampness could cause problems. I'd replace the wires if they are old.
