Smile running no cat

i think i read somewhere that if u gut the cat ur 5th and 6th port wont open or something?

how could i correct it?

If you gut your cat, you need to wire up your 5th and 6ports.

Only on anything below and 89 will you need to wire them open, if your car is of a higher year than 88 then your car uses the airpump to open them.

its a lot easier and cheaper to just gut your cats, but its way nicer to just put a pipe in its place. That way when it comes time to pass emmisions you can just bolt back up the cats and when you are done bolt back up the pipe.

If the cat is still good take your car to a muffler shop and have a pipe fabricated, cheap and easy.

Only gut the thing if it's toasted, since it's worthless anyway.

Destroying a perfectly good catalytic converter is a really dumb idea.
