running low on options

ok. step dad said it was TPS, changed the TPS... same problem. so i pulled codes... code 27. tested omp with a DMM. said it was bad. got one form the forum, put it in, tested it, said it was good, test drove my car... same problem, didnt fix anything. cleared codes, and pulled again, 27, and 37 now. this cars driving me nuts! i want it to be runing right so bad!! me and a freind have been messing with it all day. we started to test the ECU but arent real positive how and ran outta time today. we took the old OMP apart to see what was wrong with it. well it was rusted on the inside and locked up. im begining to belive maybe my car has been flooded. on the ECU bracket there was alot of rust and a lil mold on something next to the ecu. and on the seat brackts the sides cloest to the doors had alot of rust. and a few rust spots under the hood. but the interior is literaly flawless. the carpet seems brand new. it has the RX-7 floor matts, no rips in seats at all, everything is in great shape. id give my first born son to anyone who could shed any kinda light on my problem.

try finding a local with an ECU and swap it. if the forum member also doesn't have a rep or a bad rep you could have been ripped off.

is there a way tp test the ECU to see if its functioning properly? i also have a 100amp main fuse that looks like its in bad shape. like it was blown, then contacts where pushed back together. my friend said if the car endured a short strong enough to blow 100 amps, what did that sgort do to my ECU?

my 89 gtu na had a problem also with codes that keep coming back. 01, 02, 12,15. replaced the CAS, TPS, and 02. tested all the electric wires but the codes didnt go away. well not until i sent it down to california to get it remanufactured. then only code was 02. then i change the engine wiring harness and now all codes have been cleared. definitely use a DMM on all the pins in that ecu. thats how i figured out mine was bad.
