Thought I'd take a chance, put some run rite in my 87 n/a. Just as I figured the same problem I been curing(fuel pressure regulator) goes out again. BUT it starts with me pulling out the feul pressure relay, then it runs but to rich backfiring slow climbing RPM and thats that. Now could it be the TPS or some other sensor. Before it ran fine with a few misses hear and there. Jus twant to see if anyone has a clue to what it could be other than those two items??

 

Sounds like a tps, get the parts to fix the fuel system then try to diagnose the tps. honestly i wouldnt run engine cleaners besides the chevron techron stuff or marvel mystry oil, there have been some awful results of people running different engine cleaner stuff.
