Rumors of my demise are not so greatly eggagerated...

Hey guys,

Some of you might have been wondering why I havent been on the forum posting to tech questions, or answering my pm's(in a timely manner). Others of you could prolly give a rat's *** :-D

Fact of the matter is, as much as Id like to be, I no longer have regular forum access. I can still get online, can visit ANY webpage, check mail, etc., but for some reason cannot visit this forum anymore. I get a DNS error every time, this for about 2 weeks straight now.

Anyway, anyone needing my help, interested in used parts or a rebuilt engine, please just email me at hypntyz@charter.net or call me directly 423-748-7977.

Anyone wanting to help out of the technical end of it or anyone who works for charter cable in east TN please contact me to help figure out the problem; charter's tech support is totally unwilling to even consider looking at a problem with a single webpage. The tracert bounces 7 times adn stops at an ip.att.net server. No one can tell me why, and until then I have no way to conduct business on this forum. Any help is appreciated.

Remember, contact me directly...hypntyz@charter.net or 423-748-7977

Oh, and can someone please mail me the actual replies to this thread, since I wont be able to see them?!

Sounds like a peering problem. Your connection is having trouble connecting to (peering) with an ATT server for some reason or another.

Gimme' a break. DNS errors have NOTHING to do with connections to a web server.

FWIW, I have been experiencing the same thing. I can only assume that one of two things have happened:

1. DNS entires have been corrupted. This will fix itself as cached entries are refreshed

2. Routing errors between the world and the forum. Taking into account my trace-routes, I have seen this several times today and often last week. Don't know the cause as I have not put much effort into troubleshooting it.

Its Not DNS entries in Kevin case I talked to him on the phone and he could not connect to RX7club.com 's web server even by IP adress.. and that bypasses the use of DNS period.
