RPM Switch Help
Hello everyone,
I posted this in the 1st gen section, but didn't get a response yet, so I though I'd try here. I am attempting to re-install an RPM switch that I used several years ago. This will be used to open the aux ports at the desired RPM (GSL-SE with Haltech). The trigger wire that I could have used to do this with from the Haltech is already being used for the VDI (S5 intake). Anyway, the switch that I have is a discontinued model from Summit Racing. I tried to download the wiring scheme, but the colors don't match what I have. If anyone of you have an older Summit RPM switch, you may be able to help. Here's my thoughts on how this should be wired:
Summit RPM Switch:
Red wire = 12v switched
Black = Chassis ground
Blue = N/A
White = N/A
Yellow = Tach signal on coil wire (YG)
Purple = Tach output to Rats nest solenoid. (12v switched to other terminal on solenoid)
If anyone can confirm my thoughts here, I would appreciate it.
Thanks!!!
