rpm problem on TII

ok well i recently bought an 87 TII when i first got it the car ran perfect. but when i got home it shut off for no reason and i saw that the battery tray had broken and the battery fell and knocked the car off timing. i put thing CAS back in the middle (is that the rite place??) and now the car has a very very bad hesitation around 4000rpm. The car has 850cc 2ndaries, streetport , FD rotors, All emmisions removed. boosting around 12 PSI ( or at least used to before the hesitation) is the car off timing maybe? also pulled off starter because it was cranking slow w/ new battery and a little peice of beat up metal fell out of it now car makes loud rattling noise like if something is being knocked around in flywheel area. PLZ post ANY INFO i wanna fix this b4 tomorrows meet. Thanks in advance

get a timming gun and check the timming and make sure you didnt knock any wires loose of the coil packs. and for the slow craking it can either be a dead battery or your starter. the noise you hear in the flywheel area, does it only happen when you try to start the car?

lose grounds can also cause poor cranking/hesitation.

after i took out the starter and the little piece of metal fell out, i put the starter back and the cranking problem went away but im thinking a piece is in the flywheel area as well.
