rough idle after WG porting

Ok prior to Porting my wastegate on my 87 TII mycar ran and idled fine. after porting it it seems to idle rough. I double checked everything and everything is hooked up correctly. All vaccum lines That i took off were replaced with new ones. When i took the downpipe off a bunch of the honeycomb shaped stuff inside fell out. could if be possible that its a little clogged? I also didnt bleed the air out of cooling system after i refilled it when i put everything back together. could air in the cooling system cause it to idle rough.

it seems to idle rougher when its at norm op temp. thats when it will also stall occasionally as well. thanks for the help.

Do you have any cats in the exhaust system? The inside of a cat is a metal honeycomb.

I have the stock downpipe and the stock cat. I do have an apexi DP on the way but im not sure if that will replace the cat that has the pipe from the airpump in it or if that will stay. Any if the honeycomb that fell out of the downpipe i removed so that it wouldnt clog it but i dont know if i missed any

No, air in your coolant will not make your car idle poorly. It sounds exactly like what typical vac leaks symptoms are. What all did you have to take off to port the WG?

The stock downpipe has the precat in it, which sounds like it's plugging up on you. Pieces are never supposed to break off and fall out. Karack's suggestions are spot on in this case. Hollow that thing out, and look for sources vacuum/air leaks.
