Under certain driving circumstances better gripping front brakes can cause brake enduced understeer.
Under most performance driving circumstances you are supposed to brake in a straight line so it would not cause understeer, but it could cause your front brakes to lock up quicker than with stock brakes.
I don't see a problem with upgrading just the front brakes on an FC. On almost every FC I have raced the rear brakes locked up before the fronts anyway. And some popular brake upgrades only increase the braking power by very little but they increase the heat disipation a tremendious amount causing your brakes to last longer during a track session (before fade occurs, not necessarly making the life of the pad last longer).
At least our cars have rear disk brakes. Just the other day I noticed a Civic next to me at a stop light. It had HUGE cross drilled, slotted front brakes with some expensive looking caliper (visible throught the oversized wheels). And it looked like he had spent around $4.00 on high temp paint to paint his rear brake drums the same color as his calipers up front. If there was that big of a difference in brake power difference front vs. rear then there might be concern about dangerious brake enduced understeer.
