Thumbs down Rotor Suicide.....

Metering pump went out and I am loosing compression in my front rotor do to dry seals. Any miracle remedies? Or any ideas on the best way to replace the apex seals? I know you have to have like 300ft/lbs. of torque to break loose the block. What do I do, I have only had the car a few weeks and have broke myself with it.....

Funny, I did this by hand with a long flex head 3/8" ratchet from sears.

Premix is gonna be the cheapest way to possibly continue driving the car.

Edit: I just saw that you have an `86. How do you know its the OMP? The mechanical ones hardly ever fail.

On a sort of related note... How does regular marvel mystery oil vary from their air tool oil?

try putting a bit of ATF into the front housing thru the spark plug hole and turn it over a few times by hand, will help get the seals lubed

I'll second that...

3 of the 4 OI's were toast on my car when I attempted to replace the MOP Lines. I had soaked them overnight In Castrol Super Clean than blew them out with compressed air. Nothing.

From there, I blocked off everything and started premixing. I'm glad to know my engine Is getting what It's supposed to now.

See my writeup on the OMP to pre-mix mod. Otherwise start saving money for an engine rebuild.

this is no case of suicide, it is an assasination attempt by the oil injectors! Take them out and give them the death penalty by sledgehammer.

Still salvagable you think? I don't want to rebuild unless I have to. It's hard for me to get the resources, I am only 17 and still in school.
