Rotary Rebuild

I know what things to replace when doing a piston engine rebuild, but what internals would you replace when rebuilding a rotary engine. Do they make aftermarket rotors?? or apex seals?? Also i would like to know how much it would cost. I have no idea. please explain.

Well.. I dunno about the website... But you have lots of choices to make..
Is it for racing only? or street as well? How much money do you have to spend on it?
I don't know about the TurboII 13B's, but you have 2 different rotors for the N/A's.. you have the 86-88 rotors.. which are heavier than the 89-91s... Lighter rotors have more compression as well, so you get a base +16 HP aprox.... Obviously this is the best choice.. but you have to get the appropriate flywheel and counterwieght to go with it..
As for seals... You can go with yer basic Steel Apex seals, (I think most common..) good for street... and last... Carbon apex seals are for race only.. don't last long.. but seal better....
ceramic seals are so outrageously expensive, I don't know much about them...
Do you want 2MM or 3MM apex seals ? You have to have the rotors grinded to 3mm if you choose that... otherwise the rotors will fit 2mm..
for a street car you'll want : gasket set... Apex seals (I'd buy 2mm 2 piece steel) , apex seal springs.. side seals.. side seal springs.. Corner seals.. corner seal springs.. and bandages... You'll use em...
oh, and check all your rotor housings and side housings make sure they don't have scratches or flaking.. and are up to spec... smooth and shiny =)

About 900 for a N/A and 1200 for a turbo. More than what most cars are worth on the market. Go to mazdatrix.com and look at their prices for a general idea. Also Atkins.com. Several places ont the web. Oh yes, Ted's site kd2r.com(might have misspelled that). Or for a real cheap and dirty rebuild using a lot of used parts, I'd say maybe 300-400. Not something I'd do.
