Rotary gods hate me :(

Well, here's an update on my GXL -> T2. The engine I recieved had good compression in the rear rotor (105-110psi), which was enough to get it to run after much tinkering. After many hours and days spent searching and wondering why the car wouldn't start, I have found out I only have 20 psi in my front rotor After all this time, to find out my engine is shot was quite the heartbreak. It's currently spending the night in ATF hoping that it's just stuck. I hope i get my compression back tomorrow, I can't afford a rebuild

Thanks, this engine has cost me way too much, and it's depressing to be this close and yet, so very far now.

well, someone bought it as a jspec, and ran it for about 5,000 miles, then sold it to me, and said it was fine before I got it, but the day I got it wouldn't show compression on either rotor, so I figured it was because it didnt have oil/etc, so I installed it anyway taking the guys word for it. I'm hoping just my seals are stuck and the ATF will open it up.

I had the same thing happen to me, I'll never go JSPEC again or used for that matter. After a full year of my car being dead (it would have been 3 months if it hadn't been for the JUNK engine I bought ) it might actually see the road in two months or less!

Man, that's depressing. I hope it works out for you with minimal complications.

Frank, glad to hear your car will be up and running soon.

I'm quite depressed, I've spent so much on this car only to have problem after problem, and it's starting to make me lose faith and hope in it, I'm damn close to just giving up.

Don't lose faith and keep your head up. When I first got my FD, she had a bad front oil seal. Probably an hour of work and she would be up and running....but the stupid bolt wouldn't come off, and it ended up getting stripped off when we put big bertha the impact gun on the bolt. Took 7 HOURS to get that bolt off and 2 minutes to put a new one in and install it.... I almost lost faith that day...

Man you MUST remeber you are doing a job that must people would've turn away just by thinking of all the work. With that said, keep the good work, enjoy the time you are spending, and you won't regret it.

You don't regret waiting 16-18 years in order to have sex, right? A couple of months won't kill you.
