I was wondering if there is any bad things about puting a TII hood on an n/a? I was thinking of putting a roll cage in. should I? I need some suggestions for modding my car. All CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is welcome. I don't have that much money, so please make it cheap but fast.

if your gonna do a cage make sure its a good one no sence in puttin a crappy cage in your car i would go with a weld in cage it will greatly stiffin the body for better handling the hood thing is up to u
Re:
I don't see what having the TII hood on the NA can cause any harm to the engine, might help cool it a little, if water or bugs get sucked in (pretty likely) you might get some smoke but overall I don't think it's harmful.....then again, wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy the scoop and have it put on your hood? *shrug*
Roll Cage, unless your doing something where your possibly going to roll the car heh, or running 10's at the drag strip....I don't see the point in investing into it, it's bulky and wasted money if your not going to put it to good use.
Just my 2 cents

he could put the cage to use if anything ever happend like a roll over look at pics of cars that have rolled after the ones ive seen i sure as hell would fell better having a cage in the car just my opinion tho
Uhm...
Sure you could put a roll cage in your car, just so if you decide to accidently roll it, it's there I guess lol.
Going in and bolting or welding in a cage, for everyday driving is a bit of overkill IMO, but it's up to him....his money, his call
I just made a suggestion from my point of view is all...

I'm paranoid, so I think that the roll cage is a fantastic idea. I recommend finding someone in your area who can build a cage which is legal for whatever racing you plan on participating in. If you don't have a racing preference, just ask for an SCCA-legal cage, which will be good for just about anything, including street driving. I like the 2Gen cages which connect to the rear shock towers rather than the sheet metal of the trunk, but that's just me. Yes, your car will be a bit slower due to the weight, and it will not look as nice because some of the dash needs to be cut. Pricing should be somewhere between $1,000 and $1,500.
The aluminum NA hood would be more practical because it is fully enclosed and usually sells for half the price of an aluminum TII hood. If you just want the style, then I guess the TII hood is fine.

There's a 2nd gen roll cage for sale if you live somewhat near the guy.....
Also, another option on the hood like I mentioned is just the TII scoop...same look, and cheaper.

I'd never put a cage in a street car. unless you wear a helmet all the time.... in a crash those bars beside you and infront are kinda hard
however I really want to build a 6 point bar. hoop behind me, 2 legs going back, and 2 going forward to the feet around.
that will be one of my next things to do when I get some $$$

tmak26b is right. You might want to check your local and state laws regarding the cage. Have you considered a rollbar. Much more practicle on a daily driver not to mention 1/2 the price. I also noticed you want to put a TII differential in your car. Why? It only adds weight not performance. If your not racing your car or pushing 250 plus HP its a waste of time IMO.
cages
I built the cage in my car and to have an effective one it makes it impratical for the street. Think about having to give your mom a ride to the doctor! These cars are VERY stiff to start with and are very strong in the roof structure. A cage will just end up being a pain in the but.

I'm putting in the TII differential because the one I have is going out and has 155,000+ miles on it, not to mention I will be throwing a 70-75 shot of wet NOS through it soon. (for when I street race or go to the track) would this be good or bad? The differential I mean.
