Ringing from the gauge cluster!? WTF!?

Ok so I have now heard a brand new noise that I have never heard before on my FC. I was cruising on the highway going like 75-80 and I suddenly hear 3 dings coming from what seems to be my gauge cluster. I have never heard such a thing before in the car and everything checked fine. Usually when there is a problem I hear that god awful buzzing. The only thing I can compare this dinging to is when they light up the sign for everyone to put on their seat belts for the airplane to land. Anyone?

Broken wire or short in the power steering wiring, or something else depending on the number of beeps you actually heard. Go to the FAQ, hit ctrl-F, type "power steering" and take a look.

Next time you hear the sound while driving try jiggling your key and see if that stops it.
